November, 2011

Dear Friends,

October finished with a bang! We started our fall campaign October 30th and had 510 Saved and 385 Baptized on that Sunday. In all 1,016 walked the isle for salvation and 650 were baptized in October.

Saturday I was soul-winning with my wife and daughter. We won 12 people to Christ. I was explaining salvation to one man named Angel and as I often do I used the story of the thief on the cross to illustrate salvation. When Angel said “I know that story! I was the priest who paid Judas the silver to betray Christ!” I said “You did what?” He explained that he was an actor in a play the Catholic Church does each year in Mexico City. Some 3 million people attend that play each year. He played that part of the priest. I carefully explained salvation was by grace through faith and the priest who paid Judas God saved. I had 40 converts baptized in the last month.

Guadalupe and three of her children were saved in a Bible club. They came to church and were baptized. She was immediately attacked and threatened by her family for doing so. This is common in Mexico. One of her strongest attackers was her sister. Guadalupe kept coming to church and praying for her family. To our surprise a week ago her sister came and got saved and baptized! Now they are working together to reach the rest of the family.

We have added over 100 pews and even though some 500 people moved away in 2011 and joined other churches we have grown by 550. So some 1,050 new converts are attending this year so far. Sunday we had over 6,000 in church. Praise God!

Please pray for our safety and finances. Kidnappings and murder are all around us and we are down on support again. Please pray. We love you and are praying for you.

In Christ,

Kevin Wynne
