Dear Friends,
Some time ago I was out soul-winning as we do every week, and I knocked a door where a little old lady came out. She took the John and Romans book I offered her but when I asked her if she had a few minutes for me to explain how to go to heaven she told me she was cooking and her beans would burn.
I had already had several people make similar excuses and I thought she was just trying to get rid of me so I said “You know it would be better your beans burned than your soul”. She looked at me for a moment and then said “si verdad” “your right show me how to go to heaven”. As I got up to Romans 10:9-13 (my favorite part), I was about to pray with her when I saw smoke coming over her head and out the door. I looked behind her and her house was filled with smoke. I told her “mam something is burning in there”. She told me “le dije” “I told you, now finish telling me how to go to heaven” She was sweetly saved. I felt as I walked away that lady had her priorities right. (Although in retrospect I think we could have saved the beans too).
I see many in Mexico with the same attitude today. The violence, kidnappings and murders are causing many to see how brief and uncertain life is. In November we had 926 walk the aisle for salvation and 565 baptized with many more thousands saved soul-winning.
Our poor people have given and given to build 3 new Sunday school rooms for new adult converts. As soon as we build they are full. Please pray God does a miracle and we can buy the warehouse next door. They called to offer it to us again two weeks ago. Pray we can add parking and build the other half of our auditorium. I believe if God worked a miracle we could grow to 15,000 and actually turn the tide in Mexico from violence to revival.
Our Jewish ministry has seen more Jews saved in a few months than I thought possible in 5 years. Please pray for Tom Cantor who is making it possible. He has been diagnosed with cancer. He is seeing 10,000 saved a week by helping 100 churches send out soul-winners and run buses.
Pray for our safety and the door to stay open. We love you and thank God for our supporters. Each soul saved is fruit for your account Philippians 4:17.
In Christ,
